THE PERFECT PUFFER TO BUY IN ADVANCE

So this comes a bit late in terms of weather but I had to dedicate a post to this puffer at some point, and I'd rather do it while it is still for sale (sizes out of stock but 'coming soon') so people could eye it up for when the weather is cooler in late 2020. To be quite honest, there was a few days at the start of lockdown that I wore this for my daily walk!

I'd been looking at puffer jackets for a long time, but never found the perfect one to buy until I came across this on Zara's website a few months ago. Immediately, I fell in love with the style of this one, the colour, the oversized fit and how puffy the jacket is! I was initially worried the dark beige colour could wash me out due to my skin tone and hair colour but I actually found this quite complimentary.

It is intended to be water repellent but in my experience this only works to some extent. I unfortunately wore the jacket for a trip to Liverpool in February where I was stuck outside in heavy showers for most of the day and I was quite wet underneath... Which was probably my own fault and I should've taken a waterproof option instead! I think puffers lose their 'puff' after a few wears so I am going to be testing out the trick soon of putting it in the tumble dryer by itself.

Ever wanted to wrap yourself up in a duvet before leaving the house on a cold day? Well this is a similar feeling, it's such a cosy jacket even when it's undone - keeps you warm! I love the high collar and elastic cuffs and it also comes with an adjustable drawstring hem which is a nice feature.

Here I style the jacket with some black flared trousers, black racer top, white Nike Airforce and a small 90's inspired bag from Urban Outfitters. I love the combination of flared trousers and this puffer I think it balances out the silhouette! Also looks great with light wash denim and cream trousers. The only regret I have, is that I didn't buy it in black as well!
