CROC: SMART TO CASUAL

You thought right, another coat, another post... I can't help myself when it comes to outerwear, after all it is 'essential'

I love this Topshop Faux Crocodile Trench Coat. I bought this in February with the intentions of wearing it during my trip to Paris which unfortunately was cancelled but that hasn't stopped me wearing this to death! Ecru is a colour I've been loving recently, the colour of unbleached linen with the olive undertones which are really appealing.

So I actually had very mixed feelings about this trench when it first arrived, I sent videos of me trying it on to friends for their opinions as it just didn't look right. Usually by that point with something like a coat that's a big sign to me that its going back. As the days went by and the coat was hanging on the outside of my wardrobe staring at me, one night I tried it on again and this time fell head over heels... found it quite confusing why all of a sudden I liked it a lot more but, I decided to keep it and I'm so glad!

Its quite a versatile jacket when it comes to being smart of casual, its definitely on the more dressy side but in these photos I show how a changing shoes can transform the whole outfit. In the first set of images I am wearing a pair of cream flare heel sandals from Primark with some blue denim jeans and the coat. This is something I would wear for day drinks or if I was going for cocktails or a meal in the evening.

Then as soon as I added trainers into the mix it changed the outfit and occasion completely. I would wear this version to go shopping in or perhaps a day out! Comfy and chic at the same time... What could go wrong! The jeans are PrettyLittleThing and trainers are Nike.

To finish, here is a little close up of the coat. The detailing of the trench is gorgeous, I love moc croc finish, the utility style pockets, the tie belt and of course the stunning tortoise shell buttons. It is now in the sale with a few sizes available (£55) and they also have it in a few other colours too! Tempting...

Thank you for reading!

Hope everyone is safe and well,
