CREATING A CAPSULE WARDROBE

About a month ago, I took part in the 10x10 challenge created by StyleBee in 2015. After deciding I needed to make a conscious effort towards fashion sustainability - I thought it was about time I took a break from shopping and utilised the clothing I already had. I think a lot of us are guilty when it comes to buying clothes and then shortly forgetting about them in our wardrobes.

I will leave the link to StyleBee's website here so you can check it out yourselves but here are my attempts! The concept is to pick 10 items of clothing, style them into 10 outfits to wear over 10 days. It's a great option if you're wanting to test your style creativity, test out a capsule wardrobe, take a break from shopping, make the most out of your current wardrobe or even learn how to pack lighter!

Yes, I probably wouldn't reach for these items and style them like this all the time but I found that this challenge made me realise there are so many ways to wear the clothes you already own!

I chose the simple, monochromatic or neutral items from my wardrobe to make life easier but maybe next time I try this I will make it harder for myself by picking some of my bold pieces to style in various ways - I get too used to wearing things the usual way!

Note to self - clean your trainers!

A capsule wardrobe is a limited selection of separates which can be coordinated several ways for various occasions. This is good if you want to cap your spending on clothes!
