BLAZERS: BLACK & WHITE

This post is dedicated to one of my favourite ever jackets... The blazer. I love everything about blazers, double or single breasted, longline or cropped and my favourites are oversized. We should still be power dressing in 2020.
In my opinion everyone should have a blazer or two in their wardrobe, they are a staple and can be styled for any occasion. In more recent years they have become a lot more casual which I am a big fan of - instead of your typical workwear look they have turned into trendy pieces you can throw over a t-shirt and joggers.
If you don't already own one I'm showing you two of my favourite blazers and how I style them for everyday wear and what better than black and white to start off your collection... (Beware, once you have one you'll want more.)

My black blazer is the ASOS 'Perfect Blazer' and it really is. I have this in a few colours actually as I love the style and fit of the jacket. It's £45 and I think that's reasonable for something your going to get so much wear out of!
One of my favourite things about this beauty is the padded shoulders. I like how boxy it looks on, its an oversized relaxed fit too so they are a nice addition that adds to the structure of the jacket.

This has a one button closure and a notch lapel. I'm so glad I got this one as you'd think finding a black blazer was easy because what could be wrong about something so classic? This is just the right one for me. So obviously I bought it in more colours...
I style this with loose fitting trousers, flares, denim and in these images my leather look skinnies. Paired with some raised black biker boots, a casual Nike nude tee and some black and gold accessories I was ready for the day. (Everything will be linked over the photos.)
Also how nice is this lip combo! My go to - Mac whirl lip liner and just a Primark gloss!
Next up is my white one. This I have had for around 2 years now, I ordered it from Missguided with intentions to style it as a blazer dress but that never happened as it was too short and just wasn't right! The one I have is no longer available online however they do have other versions but look around as there are plenty of amazing white or cream blazers that are lovely.

So, the difference with this one is that it is double breasted which is a feature I often look for in a blazer. Both of mine are size 8 (If they weren't oversized fit I would probably size up to a 10) as I do prefer a long line blazer.
The white looks fab with lighter colours in spring and summer with jeans or a pastel midi skirt but this time I styled this outfit around monochromatic tones, as per usual...

Again styled with my leather look jeans, black accessories but this time a pair of statement, wide rectangular sunglasses from Primark and my white Alexander Mcqueens.
I like how the black breaks up the white, there is the right amount of the two overall.
Let me know about any of your favourite blazers as I am always on the lookout for new additions to my wardrobe!
Hope you enjoyed reading.
Stay safe & sane...
